Overview

The lack of adequate management and business management skills in South Africa is one of the contributors to the high failure rate in the small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMME) arena. This diploma in business management course will provide a very important and essential skill set to support national efforts to equip prospective business managers and entrepreneurs to produce better economic results.

The business course focuses on the financial, economic, and business management aspects of commerce, but includes important business-related modules to ensure a balanced perspective of modern corporate business to inform the environment within which the graduates must operate and to ensure a well-rounded qualification

SKILLS YOU WILL DEVELOP 

The IIE Diploma in Commerce in Business Management equips students with core business principles and management skills to be able to work in and efficiently manage a business. Students will acquire essential skills intended to enhance careers in a variety of fields. As an IIE graduate, you will learn how to make meaningful contributions that aids sustainable growth of any organisation.

DURATION

This is a three-year qualification offered by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) at IIE Rosebank College.

Contact (Full-time): Contact lectures take place during the day, on weekdays, at the following campuses: Bloemfontein, Braamfontein, Cape Town, Durban, Mbombela, Nelson Mandela Bay, Polokwane, and Pretoria.

The IIE Diploma in Commerce in Business Management is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and is registered by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) as a 360-credit qualification on Level 6 (SAQA ID No:  84787). Device Requirements

DEVICE AND CONNECTIVITY SPECIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR ONLINE STUDY:

• Reliable internet connection (we recommend 5-10 GB of data per month and an internet speed of at least 0.15 Mbps)
• Desktop PC or laptop with at least an i3 processor and 4GB RAM memory
• Windows 8 or macOS 10.15 (Microsoft Office 365 is available as a free download for IIE students), and Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge Chromium or Firefox
• A working webcam and microphone
• An uninterrupted power supply is also highly recommended
