At the national office of IIE Rosebank College, the Alumni Relations Office is playing a pivotal role in reshaping this journey, transforming the graduate experience into a lifelong, value-driven partnership that prioritises continuous growth and connection.
In today’s fast-evolving job market, the true measure of a higher education institution extends beyond graduation rates to how well it supports students long after they leave campus. At the national office of IIE Rosebank College, the Alumni Relations Office is playing a pivotal role in reshaping this journey, transforming the graduate experience into a lifelong, value-driven partnership that prioritises continuous growth and connection.
A key focus of the office is amplifying alumni voices and experiences. By sharing diverse graduate journeys across platforms and celebrating milestones through initiatives like Alumni on the Move, the institution fosters a sense of belonging and inspiration. This not only highlights success but reinforces that the IIE Rosebank College, the brand of the Independent Institute of Education’s journey extends far beyond obtaining a qualification.
“Through our platforms, we intentionally showcase a wide range of alumni journeys both employed and unemployed to reflect authenticity and inclusivity,” explains Boipelo, Alumni Administrator at the Alumni Relations Office. “We also celebrate milestones through initiatives like Alumni on the Move, ensuring that graduates feel recognised, valued, and continuously connected to the institution.” She adds that alumni contribute meaningfully through mentorship, networking events, and guest lectures, while also sharing job opportunities and building connections through digital platforms such as LinkedIn and dedicated alumni groups.
While many alumni commend the institution for its strong theoretical foundation and emphasis on critical thinking, there is a growing call for more practical, industry-aligned experience. The Alumni Relations Office continues to innovate in response, leveraging digital platforms like WhatsApp and creating flexible engagement opportunities. Ultimately, by working closely with stakeholders such as Career Services and positioning alumni as strategic partners, the office is strengthening employability pathways and reinforcing IIE Rosebank College as a lifelong partner in graduate success.
