The purpose of this qualification is to expose learners to the general principles within local government and the foundational knowledge for entry-level positions in this field.
The purpose of this qualification is to expose learners to the general principles within local government and the foundational knowledge for entry-level positions in this field. This qualification includes the following modules: introductory concepts in public administration, Local Government structures and administration, customer relationship management, ethics, local government finance and human resource management.
This qualification will provide opportunities for IIE Graduates from Rosebank College wishing to enter the public sector, and existing public servants who wish to enhance their career prospects.

This is a one-year qualification offered by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) at IIE Rosebank College.
SKILLS YOU WILL DEVELOP
On completion of this qualification, learners will have the practical and interpersonal skills that are essential to become competent employees in local government. Learners will be exposed to the concepts, principles, and procedures that lead effective local government initiatives through this course.
