Students who pursue this qualification will gain the knowledge, skills and applied competencies to enter the world of work as Logistics and Supply Chain Management graduates, in either the private, the government sector or in NGOs.

TIME NEEDED TO COMPLETE YOUR QUALIFICATION

Full-time: This is a one year full-time qualification offered by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE). Full-time lectures take place during the day on weekdays at the following campuses Braamfontein, Cape Town, Pretoria CBD, Pietermaritzburg, Durban CBD, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and Polokwane. 

Part-time: If you prefer to study part-time you can study this qualification at the following campuses at the following campuses Braamfontein, Durban and Pretoria CBD. Speak to a student advisor to confirm duration of qualification and part-time fee structure.  There will be a future fee as this is an 18 month qualification and the fees displayed on the website are annual fees and not the full qualification.

Online/Distance learning: This IIE qualification can also be completed on the distance learning option. Distance modules are only offered in bundles, there are two bundles (semester 1 and semester 2). You can do a maximum of two bundles a year and you cannot register for individual modules. Speak to your sales consultant for more information on the bundles.   No application fee for IIE online/distance learning.

This Higher Certificate is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). It is also registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) on Level 5 (SAQA ID No: 101529). On successful completion you will receive a Higher Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), the leading registered private provider of higher education in South Africa.

General Education Development (GED) – An USA qualification developed by the American Council on Education (ACE)Candidates with a GED qualification may be admitted if they have a SAQA Evaluation Certificate with NSC L4 equivalence as well as NBT: AQL results and have obtained a score of at least 37 for Academic Literacy (AL) and a score of at least 37 for Quantitative Literacy (QL)

MATURE AGE EXEMPTION:

  • Candidates must have attempted matric/Grade 12, attained the age of 23 before or during the first year of registration with three years' work experience and proven ability relating to the proposed programme as well as adequate communicative skills; OR
