InternationalAn USAf Exemption Certificate is required and meeting the English requirements.
A cognate Higher Certificate OR cognate 240 credit Diploma OR an Advanced Certificate OR 360 credit Diploma or Degree may satisfy the minimum admission requirements to degree studies.If discipline not cognate at least 20% of credits must be academic literacy or numeracy related.
Only 10% of a cohort may be admitted via RPL. Such applications, after an evaluation and recommendation for approval by the brand, must be loaded on SATS with all supporting documents. The Dean Academic Development and Support will review and approve, and the Office of the Registrar will issue Senate Discretionary (RPL) admission letter, which will be loaded on CAMS.
Senate Discretionary AdmissionsMature Age Exemption

Candidates having attained the age of 23 before or during the first year of registration with a  Senior Certificate with a minimum of 40% in at least four higher or standard grade subjects, at least three of which shall have been passed simultaneously and one of which shall be a recognised higher grade subject; OR Candidates must have attained the age of 45 before or during the first year of registration.

 

An USAf Exemption Certificate is required.

Where candidates do not satisfy the formal admission requirements for this qualification, The IIE may consider an admission application in terms of the Credit Accumulation and Transfer, Recognition of Prior Learning and Qualification Completion Policy (IIE010).

USAf approved cognate foundation programme

Candidates who have completed an USAf approved cognate foundation programme from a registered and accredited provider may be admitted.

An USAf Exemption Certificate is required   -   the Office of the Registrar will facilitate, on behalf of the student, an application for degree admission to USAf, once the student has provided proof of payment to USAf.

Transfer studentsCandidates who have successfully completed at least 120 credits on the first year of a cognate degree may be admitted.  However, if a student completed less than 120 credits, the admission criteria on the NSC or equivalent apply. 
OQSF qualificationsCandidates with an OQSF Level 5 cognate qualification may be admitted, provided the OQSF qualification has at least 120 credits at NQF Level 5. An USAf Exemption Certificate is required   -   the Office of the Registrar will facilitate, on behalf of the student, an application for degree admission to USAf, once the student has provided proof of payment to USAf.

ACCREDITATION

The IIE Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and is registered by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) as a 360-credit qualification on Level 7 (SAQA ID No: 101591). On successful completion you will receive a Degree in Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), a leading registered private provider of higher education in South Africa.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

If you are an international student, you must ensure that:

  • you have an equivalent qualification to the aforementioned;

  • To be awarded this qualification, a minimum final year mark of 50% for each module must be achieved.
  • This information is valid for the 2022 academic year only.
  • Free software is available to all registered IIE Rosebank College students. The software includes and is not limited to MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook, which come with Office 365 bundle. Students can access the software using their RCONNECT email address at FTP//10.118.180.17/.
  • The fees for all Online IIE qualifications include prescribed textbooks supplied in e-book format. Where an e-book is not available, the prescribed textbook will be provided in an alternate format.
