Organisations are increasingly realising the value of qualified professionals in this field. This IIE Diploma in Human Resource Management Practices qualification aims to improve the productive contribution of individuals while simultaneously attempting to attain other societal and individual employee objectives.

TIME NEEDED TO COMPLETE YOUR QUALIFICATION

This is a three-year full-time qualification offered by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) at Rosebank College. Lectures take place during the day on weekdays. Qualification offered at the following campuses: Braamfontein, Pretoria CBD, Durban, Cape Town, Polokwane, Pietermaritzburg, Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth.

THE WEIGHT YOUR FUTURE QUALIFICATION CARRIES

This Diploma is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). It is also registered with the South African Qualifications Authority on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) at Level 6 (SAQA ID No: 90500). On successful completion you will receive a Diploma in Human Resource Management Practices from The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), the leading registered private provider of higher education in South Africa.

PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS FOR CONNECTED CAMPUSES

To get the best out of the blended learning experience, you will need a computer or laptop with wireless capabilities with Windows 8.1 or later installed, Intel Pentium 4 Processor or later, 1Ghz Processor or higher, 2GB RAM or higher, 3 GB RAM, 3 GB of available disk space, and a screen resolution of a minimum 1280 x 800.

​Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

​Candidates must demonstrate suitability for admission in terms of Senate’s resolution 6.6 of 20 October 2005 which allows for Senate’s discretionary conditional admission (if applicable).

​USAf approved cognate foundation programme 

​Candidates who have completed an USAf approved cognate foundation programme from a registered and accredited provider may be admitted. 

​Transfer students

​Candidates who have successfully completed at least 120 credits on the first year of a cognate 3- year diploma may be admitted.  However, if a student completed less than 120 credits, the admission criteria on the NSC or equivalent or higher certificate or advanced certificate apply.

​OQSF qualifications

​Candidates with an OQSF Level 5 cognate qualification may be admitted, provided the OQSF qualification has at least 120 credits at NQF Level 5. 

​General Education Development (GED) - An USA qualification developed by the American Council on Education (ACE)

​Candidates with a GED qualification may be admitted if they have a SAQA Evaluation certificate with NSC L4 equivalence as well as A score of at least 38 fo



Candidates must have attempted the  Senior Certificate or equivalent, attained the age of 23 before or during the first year of registration with three years’ work experience and proven ability relating to the proposed programme as well as adequate communication skills; OR Candidates must have attained the age of 45 before or during the first year of registration.

If you are an international student, you must ensure that:

  • you have an equivalent qualification to the aforementioned;
  • your equivalent qualification is evaluated by the Universities South Africa (USAf);
  • you have a valid study visa issued in the name of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) that covers the duration of your studies.
