​​In order to be awarded this qualification, you must have achieved a minimum final year mark of fifty percent (50%) for each module of the programme, and have met all Work Integrated Learning requirements.​​ ​ In some, but limited instances some modules may change. At the time of registration, please check that the entry requirements and fees have not changed.​​

The IIE Diploma in Business Management is one of the IIE’s highly regarded management qualifications offered at Rosebank College. If you are looking to pursue a career in business management then this qualification is well suited for you.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

​​WHAT YOU CAN BECOME​

This qualification is ideal for students wanting to start and manage their own business or who want to acquire the necessary knowledge and skill to successfully start and or manage a small to medium sized business or a department within a larger organisation.

SKILLS YOU WILL DEVELOP​

This IIE qualification pushes you to develop your leadership skills and promotes students taking initiative. Your problem solving and decision making skills will also be developed further.

TIME NEEDED TO COMPLETE YOUR QUALIFICATION

Full-time: This is a two year full-time qualification with full-time lectures take place during the day on weekdays. Qualification offered at the following campuses: Braamfontein, Pretoria CBD and Durban CBD.

THE WEIGHT YOUR FUTURE QUALIFICATION CARRIES

This Diploma is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). It is also registered with the South African Qualifications Authority on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) on Level 5 (SAQA ID No: 58685). On successful completion you will receive a Diploma in Business Management from The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), the leading registered private provider of higher education in South Africa. ​

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 To register, you must meet one of the following entry requirements:

• A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Higher Certificate admission- A minimum of 30 % for English is  required; OR
• A National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V) with  Higher Certificate admission – A minimum of 40 % in English on either First Additional Language or Home Language level,  with a minimum of 30 % in either Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy, a minimum of 40% in Life Orientation and a minimum of 50% in four vocational subjects; OR
• A Senior Certificate (SC) (without endorsement) or equivalent – A minimum of five of the required six subjects must be passed. 

Mature Age Exemption:

• Candidates must have attempted the  Senior Certificate, attained the age of 23 before or during the first year of registration with three years’ work experience and proven ability relating to the proposed programme as well as adequate communication skills; OR
• Candidates must have attained the age of 45 before or during the first year of registration.

RPL – demonstrate suitability for admission in terms of Senate’s resolution 6.6 of 20 October 2005 which allows for Senate’s discretionary conditional admission (if applicable).

If you are an international student, you must ensure that:

  • you have an equivalent qualification to the aforementioned;
  • your equivalent qualification is e​valuated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA);
  • you have a valid stu​dy visa issued in the name of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) that covers the duration of your studies.
