ONLINE LEARNING

Studying through online learning allows you the flexibility to upskill yourself and do other things such as work, it is worth mentioning that textbooks for those studying online IIE qualifications are included. We all know how expensive it can be to purchase study material, we have therefore included textbooks in your distance learning tuition fees.

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management qualification is also offered through online learning. This IIE qualification aims to produce graduates that will be able to apply their knowledge of logistics and the supply chain at a high level and make significant contributions to their companies through the streamlining of the supply chain process.

To ensure that you get the most out of your online learning experience you will need a laptop or digital device with a sound card, a web cam and have access to the internet.  




ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To register, you must meet one of the following entry requirements:

A  National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Degree admission- A minimum of 30 % for English coupled with a minimum of 50% for four x DESIGNATED NSC subjects (This excludes LO which is a 10 credit subject); OR

A National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V) with Degree admission – A minimum of 60 % in English on either First Additional Language or Home Language level AND Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy AND Life Orientation , with a minimum of 70% in the  four  vocational subjects is required;  OR

 A Senior Certificate (SC) (with endorsement) or equivalent  is required; OR

Alternatively, a Higher Certificate, an Advanced Certificate, 240 or 360 credit Diploma in a cognate field may satisfy the minimum admission requirements to degree studies. 

Other Qualifications

If discipline not cognate at least 20% of credits must be academic literacy or numeracy related. you have a valid study visa issued in the name of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) that covers the duration of your studies


Mature Age Exemption

  • Candidates having attained the age of 23 before or during the first year of registration with a Senior Certificate with a minimum of 40% in at least four higher or standard grade subjects, at least three of which shall have been passed simultaneously and one of which shall be a recognised higher grade subject; OR Candidates must have attained the age of 45 before or during the first year of registration. An USAf Exemption Certificate is required;

Candidates must have attained the age of 45 before or during the first year of registration.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

 Demonstrate suitability for admission in terms of Senate's resolution 6.6 of 20 October 2005 which allows for Senate's discretionary conditional admission (if applicable).

School of Tomorrow (SOT) (last date of achievement 30 June 2019)

Candidates who have successfully completed an SOT qualification may be conditionally admitted directly into the 1st year of the degree, provided that they have: a) submitted their SOT certificate along with a statement of results and have achieved at least 50 % in 4 recognised 20-credit NSC subjects - using the SOT National Conversion Table; b) achieved the following for the National Benchmark Tests (NBT)- AQL: - Academic Literacy (AL) score of at least 51 AND a Quantitative Literacy (QL) score of at least 38 An USAf Exemption Certificate is required - the Office of the Registrar will facilitate, on behalf of the student, an application for a degree exemption certificate to USAf, once the student has provided proof of payment to USAf


If you are an international student, you must ensure that:

 you have an equivalent qualification to the aforementioned;

your equivalent qualification is evaluated by the Universities South Africa (USAf);

you have a valid study visa issued in the name of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) that covers the duration of your studies.
