Good questions to ask at an open day

Open days present the perfect opportunity to "test drive" the tertiary institution of your choice. If you are
trying to decide which tertiary institution to choose, attending various open days is definitely a good idea.
Rosebank College, an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) will be hosting
its National Open Day on 22 and 23 June 2018 at its various campuses across the country. "Make sure to
ask relevant questions when you attend", says James Reed, National Sales Manager at The IIE Rosebank
College.  But what exactly are the right questions?

Make sure you leave with the answers to these questions when you attend your next open day.

  1. What is the application process?

  2. What is the registration process?

  3. How much are the fees?

  4. Are books included in my fee?

  5. What are the payment terms?

  6. Is this a private or public institution?

  7. Are there any scholarships or bursaries available?

  8. Is this institution accredited?

  9. What is the NQF Level of the qualification I would like to pursue?

  10. Does the institution provide accommodation?

  11. What kind of activities can I participate in on campus?

  12. Does the institution offer assistance with job placements after graduation?

  13. What is the difference between a college and university?

Make sure you leave the open day with as much information as possible to help you make an informed decision.
