The Graduate Empowerment Programme (GEP) was initiated in 2012 by IIE Rosebank College to address graduate unemployment in South Africa. Through career coaching sessions, IIE graduates are taught to effectively apply and interview for employment, thus empowering them with the tools they need to increase their chances of securing employment.It is our priority to produce highly employable IIE graduates who have the knowledge, skills, competence and confidence they need to become valued assets within any organisation. IIE Rosebank College Graduate Empowerment Programme has placed over 13000 IIE graduates in employment across various South African companies, since 2012.

Making the most of his time in exploring all his interests and passions. Hugo is a final year PR student who is passionate about communications and politics. His interest in politics saw him win the Budget Vote Article Writing Competition (2018) which afforded him an invitation to South Africa’s Parliament. Hugo is also a library student volunteer, part of the debate club and was part of the Student Council Subcommittee.

Shortly after graduating Bukeka managed to successfully secure an internship at Roving Reporters (a journalism training agency that focuses on environmental, social and justice issues). She is passionate about investigative journalism and paying it forward is important to her as she seeks to create opportunities to empower other Journalism graduates seeking to enter the industry. A few career highlights include some of her articles being published as well as helping launch the Sunday Tribune Game Changers series which showcases individuals doing great things that positively impact the environment and people’s lives.
