​​In order to be awarded this qualification, you must have achieved a minimum final year mark of fifty percent (50%) for each module of the programme, and have met all Work Integrated Learning requirements.​​ ​ In some, but limited instances some modules may change. At the time of registration, please check that the entry requirements have not changed.​​

The IIE Diploma in Business Management is one of the IIE’s highly regarded Management Courses offered at Rosebank College. If you are looking to pursue a career in Business Management then this qualification is well suited for you.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

This qualification is ideal for students wanting to start and manage their own business or who want to acquire the necessary knowledge and skill to successfully start and or manage a small to medium sized business or a department within a larger organisation

This IIE qualification pushes you to develop your leadership skills and promotes students taking initiative. Your problem solving and decision making skills will also be developed further.

TIME NEEDED FOR YOUR TOTAL DEDICATION

Full-time: This is a two year full-time programme with full-time lectures take place during the day on weekdays. Programme offered at the following campuses: Braamfontein, Pretoria CBD and Durban CBD.

WHAT GETS YOUR FOOT IN THE DOOR?

 To register, you must meet one of the following entry requirements:

  • NSC (​National Senior Certificate​) with Diploma admission- A minimum of 30 % for English coupled with a minimum of 40% for four x 20 credit subjects is required; OR
  • NC(V) (National Certificate (Vocational)​) with Diploma admission – A minimum of 50 % in English on either First Additional Language or Home Language level AND Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy AND Life Orientation – a minimum of 60% in the three compulsory vocational subjects is required; OR
  • SC (without endorsement) or equivalent– A minimum of five subjects must be passed; OR
  • A Higher Certificate or equivalent (HEQSF level 5); OR
  • An Advanced Certificate or equivalent (HEQSF level 6).
  • Additional admission requirements apply to students with a School of Tomorrow (SOT) certificate. Please contact the programme manager at the campus closest to you for more information.​

Mature Age Exemption:

  • Attempted matric/ grade 12 and:
    • attained the age of 23 before or during the first year of registration;
    • have 3 years work experience;
    • demonstrate a proven ability to work within the field related to the proposed programme.
    • Have adequate communication skills;

OR

  • Candidates must have attained the age of 45 before or during the first year of registration.

RPL – demonstrate suitability for admission in terms of Senate's resolution 6.6 of 20 October 2005 which allows for Senate's discretionary conditional admission (if applicable) by Senate.

If you are an international student, you must ensure that:

  • you have an equivalent qualification to the aforementioned;
  • your equivalent qualification is e​valuated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA);
  • you have a valid stu​dy visa issued in the name of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) that covers the duration of your studies.
