A week after receiving their matric results, thousands of prospective first year students are scurrying to secure their places to study at a credible higher education institution in 2016.
Last week, The University of Witwatersrand (Wits) revealed that it had received 70, 000 applications from prospective students for enrolment as first-year students but the institution has only 6,000 places available, which means several students will be turned away. Several higher education institutions have closed their applications and walk-ins are not permitted. Rosebank College on the other hand is accepting late online and walk-in registrations until the end of February 2016. Late application fee is R300.
"We understand the pressures that several parents are under during this time to find and enrol their children into a credible higher education institution and for that reason we are doing everything in our power to accommodate those who register late online and prefer to register on campus," says Greg Fillmore Managing Director at Rosebank College.
