Honouring the Rosebank College Class of 2014 this youth month

"Go out and change your world and the world! How do you achieve this? Set goals for your life. Believe in yourself, believe in your ability to succeed and then make a conscious effort every day to do whatever it takes to achieve your goals. Remember too, that to make a difference in the world you have to help others. This starts with respecting each person you come across for the person they are. While you are on the way to your own success, you have to let your light shine on others and be ready to make the difference in their lives when the opportunity arises. The future of your family, your community and your country depends on you and your success. This is a huge responsibility – one which you can take on or shy away from. The choice is yours."

Message to the Rosebank College class of 2014 from the Rosebank College Managing Director Greg Fillmore

Over 1300 Rosebank College students graduated from The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) qualifications this year in the second largest graduation class since 2011. Rosebank College is an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE).  The IIE qualifications were conferred on Rosebank College students at five grand graduation ceremonies.  The graduation ceremonies were a real celebration as graduates, parents and family members echoed their pride in achievement as the class of 2014 took to the stage to receive their IIE qualifications.

Of the 1321 graduates, a total of 546 IIE graduates passed with an overall qualification distinction - which is a mark of 75% or higher.

This was also the first group of IIE Rosebank College graduates who received their IIE certificates with unique Quick Response (QR) codes and images which when scanned by prospective employers or higher education institutions, will link through to the graduates profile (CV and academic record), lending credibility to the graduates presentation of their credentials. Known as the IIE Marque, this innovative electronic verification process is the first of its kind and has been designed to make it easy for The IIE graduates to communicate details of their qualification to anyone that they choose to.

"Whether these students continue with their studies or take up employment, we have no doubt in our minds that they will  be further aspired to build on their qualifications and to fulfil the highest most truthful expression of themselves," says Shirley Ferndale, IIE Registrar. "We know that our graduates are poised to make a difference in their respective professions and that they will inspire the next generation."

According to Greg Fillmore, Managing Director of Rosebank College, there is a lot to be proud of. "I am proud that the Rosebank College class of 2014 has joined the elite 12.1% of South African's who have post Grade 12 qualifications. I am proud that each one of our students has worked hard, stepped up and proven that they have what it takes to provide a better future for themselves and their family and that year after year, Rosebank College contributes to the improvement of the South African landscape by producing IIE graduates with qualifications that make a real difference in the economy of our country."

Rosebank College will be hosting its final graduation ceremony on Saturday 27 June 2015 for the Rosebank College Sunnyside Campus in Pretoria at Unisa from 9am.
