COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS

Rosebank College aims to build long term, sustainable relationships with NGOs and NPOs that are mutually beneficial. In pursuit of this goal, relationships with Special Olympics and LifeLine were initiated in 2007. These have now transformed into established community partnerships.

The purpose of these partnerships is to:

  • Create awareness amongst our staff and students about Special Olympics and LifeLine and its underlying causes
  • Open volunteership opportunities to our students.
  • Actively engage in experiential learning activities with the following programmes on the site:

    • Diploma in Sport Management 1
    • Diploma in Sport Management 2
    • Diploma in Advertising Management 2
    • Diploma in Business Management 2
    • Diploma in Accounting and Financial Computing 2

Other community engagements that Rosebank College has initiated are the Adopt-a-School Programes that run on various campuses and the many fundraising events for homes/NGO’s in and around where the campuses are situated.

These not only benefit the NGO’s / NPO’s but also showcase that ‘Rosebank College does cares for the areas and communities that it operates within.
