| Academic institutions and their programmes are required to be registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). Within Higher Education, the process of accreditation is implemented by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) is the overarching registered and accredited private provider of higher and further education and training for the tertiary education brands: Rosebank College, College Campus, Varsity College and Vega. |

| The institute is registered and accredited to offer 61 higher education qualifications from one year Certificates to Honours Degrees along with four other full qualifications that are unit standard aligned programmes approved by the various Sector Education & Training Authority (SETAs). |

| The IIE assumes ultimate responsibility for academic leadership and governance of all the programmes that Rosebank College offers. This includes programme development and review, monitoring of quality and individual campus capacity, quality assurance and continuous assessment of all programmess as well as all certification. The scope of these functions encompasses a wide range of external aspects such as the establishment and maintenance of relationships with relevant Government bodies and consultation with industry stakeholders in order to ensure qualifications are relevant and current. |
